Ring Colony

Privacy policy

Last updated: 19 October 2026. The short version: we keep the minimum needed for you to propose and vote, we sell nothing to anyone, and you can ask us to delete it whenever you like.

Who is responsible

Ring Colony is a personal, non-profit project by Marc Sala, based in Spain. For anything about your data: the support email shown when you sign in with Google.

What data we keep

What we use it for

The legal basis is your consent when you sign in and our legitimate interest in keeping the game working and the votes free from abuse. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell it or share it with third parties.

Cookies

We only use one technical cookie to keep you signed in. It is essential for voting and proposing, and it goes away when you sign out. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.

Who else processes it

We use these services to run the site. They process data on our behalf and with their own safeguards:

Some of these services may store data outside the European Union, always with the safeguards required by the General Data Protection Regulation (such as standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework).

How long

For as long as you have an account. If you ask us to delete it, we remove your name and email. Proposals that already made it into the game may stay in the Ring Log without your name.

Your rights

You can ask to see your data, correct it, delete it, object to its use, restrict it or take it with you. Write to the support email shown when you sign in with Google and we will reply within a month. If you think we have not handled it properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es) or the authority in your country.

Age

You must be at least 14 to sign in (or the minimum age in your country, if higher). You do not need an account to play.

Changes

If anything important changes, we will say so in the Ring Log and update the date above.
